Spencer Ord

Spencer Ord is the Principal of SurePath Valuation & Advisory Professional Corporation, providing business valuation, dispute advisory services and financial modeling.

Spencer has over 20 years of experience in the areas of business valuation, damages and economic loss quantification, and financial modeling, involving small and mid-size private firms as well as large Western Canadian, multi-national organizations and the public sector at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.

Spencer has completed and signed numerous business valuation reports, expert reports and submitted evidence for various Canadian Provincial and Federal courts, and private arbitrations on a variety of matters. Spencer has been qualified as an expert in the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Land and Property Rights Tribunal, and other arbitration proceedings.

Spencer is a guest lecturer in both the undergraduate and graduate business administration programs at the University of Alberta, where he lectures on business valuation, financial, management and forensic accounting as well as the quantification of economic losses. He has also given, and regularly provides, numerous presentations to various conferences, professional organizations, law firms and industry groups.

Previous to SurePath, Spencer was at Deloitte Canada for over 18 years, becoming the leader of the Financial Advisory practice in Edmonton and co-leading the Western Canada Valuation and Dispute Advisory practice.

Spencer obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Purdue University in 2004. He is a member of various professional organizations including the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta (CPA Alberta), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV Institute), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) with certification in financial forensics.

Jennifer Doucet

CPA, CBV, CIA, CFE, CFF

Jennifer Doucet is a Senior Manager at SurePath Valuation & Advisory Professional Corporation, providing business valuation, dispute advisory services, financial modeling, and data analysis.

Jennifer has over a decade of experience in damages and economic loss quantification, and business valution. She has worked with a wide range of organizations, from start-ups to large multi-national corporations and publicly traded companies across North America, the UK, Europe, and Asia.

Prior to joining SurePath, Jennifer worked with Spencer in Deloitte’s Dispute Advisory practice, focusing primarily on damage and economic loss quantification, while also managing forensic investigations, forensic accounting, and consulting engagements. Before Deloitte, she was the Controller and Financial Projects Leader for a publicly traded Canadian software group.

 Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta (CPA Alberta), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV Institute), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She also serves as an Ambassador for the CBV Institute, promoting the designation and supporting the development of future CBVs.
